Philodendron ‘El Choco Red’ (Philodendron rubrijuvenile)
Fresh foliage opens red to burgundy and gradually turns green as it hardens. Mature leaves are large, dark, matte and velvety, with pale veins standing out across their heart-shaped to broadly oval surface.
Some burgundy may remain beneath the blade and along the stalk or stem even once the upper face is fully green. The upright stem forms aerial roots and climbs steadily, carrying red new growth above the mature green leaves.
