Peperomia dahlstedtii

A Brazilian wet-forest epiphyte

Peperomia dahlstedtii is native across Brazil and grows as an epiphyte in wet tropical vegetation, occupying organic material and mossy pockets on other surfaces.

Water when the surface has dried and the pot feels lighter, then let all excess water escape. Bright diffused light keeps the short stems compact; too little light increases the gaps between the narrow leaves.

• Loose mix for shallow roots: Use small bark, coco fibre and pumice or perlite in a compact pot so the roots dry evenly between waterings.
