Musa acuminata 'Cheeka' is a very compact banana cultivar with predominantly solid green foliage and a single upright pseudostem. It was selected for indoor pot culture, with strong leaves that hold a neat appearance as the plant develops. Young plants form a dense outline, with ovate, moderately glossy leaves arranged around the central stem. The pseudostem can show pale colouring when immature and greyed-purple tones as it matures. Warm indoor conditions, bright light and regular moisture suit this tender ornamental banana. Musa is generally listed as non-toxic to cats and dogs.
