Electrolyte has juvenile heart-shaped leaves patterned in chartreuse, yellow-green and warm lime over a deeper green base. The bright colour appears as fine speckles, uneven splashes and broader irregular areas, with a different arrangement on every leaf.
The plant begins as a compact baby vine with simple leaves. As the stem lengthens and the foliage increases in size, established growth can form marginal splits and internal openings. Its yellow-green pattern can continue across these larger, more divided leaves.
