Fine silver lines spread from the centre of each velvety dark-green leaf like whiskers. Nearly black, feathered blotches fill the spaces between them, combining delicate venation with much broader markings. Short creeping stems hold the leaves in a low outward-spreading clump. Their position changes over the course of the day, often lifting towards evening and exposing flashes of the purple-toned undersides between the dark upper surfaces.
