Hoya sigillatis 'Silver' AH001, often called 'Round Leaves', is a rare, epiphytic Hoya clone originating from Sabah, Borneo. Known for its compact, trailing habit and uniquely rounded leaves heavily mottled in silver, this plant offers visual interest year-round. In bright light, foliage may flush reddish, creating even more contrast. Perfect for collectors, this clone adapts well to indoor conditions and works beautifully in hanging pots or cascading from shelves.
The genus Hoya is named after British gardener Thomas Hoy. The species name sigillatis comes from Latin and means “sealed” or “stamped,” referring to the silvery markings on the leaves. The clone ‘Silver’ (AH001) was selected for its rounder, thicker leaves and denser speckling. Originally published in: Fraterna 17(3): 2 (2004).
Bring home a rare clone with compact growth, round silver-speckled leaves, and low-maintenance elegance. Hoya sigillatis 'Silver' AH001 is ideal for collectors, trailing setups, or stylish indoor plant displays.
