Hoya ranauensis is a vigorous Bornean climber with long glossy leaves marked by darker veins and pale yellow fragrant flowers that give it strong appeal both in foliage and bloom. It grows faster than many collector species, so it is a good choice when you want a rarer Hoya that still makes visible progress and can quickly fill a vertical support. The plant looks best when allowed to climb, because the foliage elongates and layers more elegantly than when left to droop into a loose tangle.
In bright filtered light, high but airy humidity, and a chunky bark-rich mix that dries properly, ranauensis becomes a bold tropical specimen with enough speed and fragrance to feel rewarding even while you wait for the plant to mature.
