Hoya occultata 'Splash' is unusual within the genus because it keeps a compact, shrub-like habit instead of throwing long wandering vines, while still offering thick splash-marked leaves and tidy umbels of cream-and-yellow flowers. That self-contained growth makes it especially practical for desks, tabletops, and smaller shelves where a climbing Hoya would quickly become inconvenient. The silver mottling is stable and decorative, so the plant stays interesting even in lower-brightness indoor positions as long as conditions remain airy and reasonably warm.
With bright indirect light, a chunky mix, and moderate watering, 'Splash' becomes one of the easiest compact Hoyas to style, especially for growers who want foliage character and flowers without dealing with constant tying, training, or pruning.
