Hoya dolichosparte is native to Sulawesi, where it grows as a climbing epiphyte in wet tropical forest.

Care for Hoya dolichosparte

• Light: Keep the broad foliage in bright filtered light and away from dark shelving. Bright indirect light keeps the veined runner compact without exposing tender leaves to midday heat.
• Watering and roots: Water when the upper layer is dry and extend the interval if the pot remains heavy. Check the middle of the root zone because compacted substrate can remain damp there. Select a free-draining substrate with lasting air spaces. Position the crown just above the substrate line.
