Large matte leaves combine a pale-green feathered centre, deep-green outer areas and a burgundy reverse, with the velvety surface keeping the central marking clear. Thick petioles support the heavy blades well above the base, building a broad, tall plant whose substantial leaves overlap in deep layers.
