Slender canes divide into visible sections at their nodes, then produce fine side branches carrying numerous narrow leaves. This repeated branching gives Fargesia murielae ‘Light Green’ its soft surface and fresh, light-green colour.
New-season canes rise within or directly beside the existing crown and extend before their leafy branches spread out. The close-packed centre remains full as older outer growth bends away from it, gradually broadening the plant into a rounded, finely layered clump.
