Euphorbia alluaudii
Euphorbia alluaudii grows as an open shrub of slender, segmented pencil stems. The smooth grey-green branches divide repeatedly, with small scars and dots marking older growth. Sparse little leaves appear mainly near active sections and later fall away.
After the temporary leaves drop, the loose network of smooth, jointed stems is fully exposed.
