The variegated form of Curio rowleyanus develops round succulent pearls marked in green, cream and pale yellow. Some beads are evenly divided, while others carry irregular patches or fine streaks. Soft pink can tint the palest new growth, adding warmth to the green-and-cream strands.
Every branch introduces a new distribution of colour. Compact active tips hold the smallest and often pinkest pearls; farther down, the beads enlarge and harden while retaining their individual patches and translucent windows.
As the stems lengthen, the pale strings overlap into a layered curtain with changing markings from section to section. Cream-heavy beads brighten the trails, while greener ones show the round leaf shape and fine connecting stems especially clearly.
