Curio radicans, sold as Blue Pickle, produces curved pickle-shaped leaves in blue-green to glaucous grey. Each fleshy leaf has a pointed end, a darker translucent line along its inner curve and a light powdery bloom. The repeated shapes sit closely on slender stems, creating a chunky succulent texture.
Shoots rise only briefly before the weight of their leaves carries them over the container. They extend into long chains and branch readily, building a dense fall of curved blue foliage. The active tips are compact and slightly greener; older leaves become fuller and display more of the waxy blue cast.
Small white flowers with a light spicy scent may appear on developed strands. Their fine projecting parts contrast sharply with the heavy leaves and threadlike supporting stems.
