Ctenanthe burle-marxii 'Amagris' is a compact prayer-plant relative with smaller oval leaves in cool silver-green tones and dark herringbone markings along the midrib. Purple-toned undersides show as the leaves move, adding depth to the low clumping habit. This cultivar prefers bright indirect light, stable warmth, raised humidity, and a lightly moist, airy potting mix. Use soft water where available and keep moisture even through the root zone, with drainage open enough to keep the substrate fresh. The fine pattern and restrained size suit shelves and grouped foliage displays.
