Crassula ovata ‘Minima’ is a small-leaved jade with rounded fleshy foliage in glossy green. The compact leaves sit in opposite pairs and may develop narrow red margins. Their thick smooth texture makes every small leaf look plump and firm.
Its small foliage leaves the branching architecture clearly visible. Soft green stems harden into brown woody branches, divide repeatedly and gradually form a rounded miniature shrub. The base becomes thicker and more trunk-like with age while the paired leaves retain their reduced scale. Old, well-developed plants may also produce clusters of small pale flowers above the branch tips. Red edging is most visible on the firmer outer leaves, adding a fine warm line around the green canopy.
