Ceropegia woodii in Kokodama combines fine cascading vines with a rounded container made from real coconut fibre. Purple stems fall directly from the natural brown ball, carrying small heart-shaped leaves marbled in dark green and silver. Their purple reverses and the coarse coconut surface add two further textures to the hanging display.
The plant continues to develop as a tuberous vine inside this presentation. New tips remain compact and leafy, then lengthen into increasingly fine trails that can cross and weave below the ball. Small aerial tubers may form at the nodes, followed by narrow lantern-shaped pink and purple flowers. The oldest strands eventually carry wider-spaced leaves and occasional aerial tubers, while the newest tips remain dense with small marbled hearts.
