Massive green leaves divide into deep palmate lobes on Begonia × ricinifolia ‘Immense’. Strong veins, coarse crinkling and reddish hairs add texture to blades that can exceed 30 cm across.
The scale changes markedly as a young plant matures, with each new leaf expanding the broad hand-shaped canopy. Thick rhizomes travel sideways beneath the foliage and allow an established specimen to become exceptionally wide.
