Begonia 'Pink Minx' is a charming cane-type cultivar that pairs decorative foliage with showy blooms. Its dark green leaves are speckled and splashed with silver and soft pink, giving the plant a lively, painterly appearance. When mature, it produces clusters of pink flowers, adding an extra ornamental layer. Though more delicate than some other cane Begonias, it rewards attentive growers with colour and elegance throughout the year.
Cane Begonias are hybrids originally derived from South American species, prized for their upright stems and spotted or splashed foliage. 'Pink Minx' represents the more delicate side of this group, requiring higher humidity but rewarding with a dual display of foliage and flowers.
'Pink Minx' retains foliage year-round and produces upright canes that may need occasional pruning to encourage branching. With good light and humidity, clusters of soft pink flowers appear, offering a contrast to the spotted foliage. Its decorative balance makes it equally valued for leaves and blooms.
The genus Begonia was named in the 18th century by botanist Charles Plumier to honour Michel Bégon (1638 – 1710), a French administrator and amateur botanist. 'Pink Minx' continues this heritage as a modern cultivar balancing foliage artistry with floral appeal.
With its silver-pink spotted leaves and charming flower clusters, Begonia 'Pink Minx' is a standout cane Begonia for growers who enjoy both foliage and blooms. Order today and bring its elegant colour play into your home.
