Mature foliage combines warocqueanum’s extended proportions with the broader basal lobes associated with waterburyanum. Older plants can reach around 90 cm high and wide, though individual seedlings vary. Later leaves should become longer, darker and more substantial, with differences in width and vein contrast reflecting the variable nature of the cross.
Mature foliage develops long hanging blades, deep basal lobes and a clear network of pale veins, with the leaf width and final outline varying between individual seedlings. New leaves may open bronze, copper or reddish before becoming dark green. Their surface develops a semi-velvet finish with pale veins, while the juvenile heart shape gradually lengthens.
