Juvenile foliage is modest in size; mature blades become huge, dark green and wavy-edged, hanging far below the pot.
On established plants, individual leaves can approach 3 m when warmth, humidity, filtered light and uninterrupted vertical space support full development; indoor size still varies with conditions and container culture. Mature blades remain comparatively narrow, with a strong central rib, fine parallel veins and a smooth leathery surface. The Silver Krome Gardens hybrid needs far more clearance below its foliage than its compact juvenile form suggests.
Young leaves are narrow, bright green and initially held more upright. Later growth becomes dramatically longer and begins to hang, combining the pendent strap-like foliage associated with A. pendulifolium with the firm green texture associated with A. cubense.
