Alocasia 'Nairobi Nights' variegata runs cream and soft yellow marbling through glossy narrow blades with silver veins and pink-flushed petioles, giving it a layered, collector-grade look without losing the tidy upright habit of the Safari Series line. It commonly reaches up to about 90 cm indoors, with mature leaves long enough to feel elegant rather than bulky.
The variegation is irregular from leaf to leaf, so every new unfurling adds novelty, but pale tissue means the plant wants bright indirect light, warm temperatures, stable humidity, and a very airy substrate if it is to stay strong. Water when only the upper portion of the mix has dried, let excess drain thoroughly, and avoid letting the roots remain cold or stale. Pink petioles and silver ribbing keep the foliage interesting even on less-variegated leaves.
It is a refined but still dramatic Alocasia for growers who want something rarer than standard green longiloba-type hybrids.
