Alocasia longiloba ‘Purple Prince’ carries dark glossy arrow leaves on purple stems above richly coloured reverses. Pale primary veins follow the long central point and continue into sharply extended rear lobes, keeping the blade clear against the deeper lower colour.
Fresh leaves can open bronze or olive with a softer surface and shallow divisions. Mature blades darken, lengthen and develop stronger purple underneath, while the stems also become more richly coloured. An established plant reaches around 80 cm. Its creeping rhizome produces only a few leaves at each active section, leaving the purple stems and reverses easy to see between the mature foliage.
