‘Chantrierii’ produces broad heart-shaped leaves in copper-green, bronze and deep green. Rounded shoulders and a clear basal notch frame the blade, while pale primary veins divide the glossy metallic surface into shallow panels. Mature leaves often retain a warm purple colour underneath.
Fresh growth is brighter and more coppery, with a stronger shine across the softer surface. As each leaf expands, it gains width and thickness and settles into a darker bronze-green tone. This historic hybrid develops into a medium-sized plant whose mature foliage combines broad heart proportions, pale veins, rippled edges and a warm metallic finish.
