Aglaonema pictum ‘Bicolor’ fits two green tones into irregular blocks reminiscent of camouflage. Deep green forms the continuous background, while sage to silvery patches change position and scale on every thick oval-to-oblong leaf. The matte to low-sheen finish keeps the boundaries clear and gives the foliage a dense, fabric-like appearance.
The camouflage pattern grows more intricate as small juvenile leaves broaden and firm. As the blades broaden, the blocks divide into a more intricate pattern and the surface develops a firmer texture. Short petioles and close growth along the stem keep the plant low and compact even as the leaves gain size. Mature specimens display their strongest camouflage effect on fully expanded foliage, where broad and narrow patches meet across the same blade.
