Trachycarpus fortunei 'Frosty' is a hardy outdoor windmill palm selection grown from seed taken from selected mother plants. It forms pleated green to blue-green fan leaves above a fibrous trunk, with a cooler leaf tone than many standard green forms. Use it in full sun to light shade, in well-drained soil or a deep, stable container. The plant is evergreen, slow to steady, and best placed where strong drying wind is reduced. Potted plants need earlier root protection in hard frost than established palms in the ground.
