Streptocarpus sect. Saintpaulia 'Hovariagata' is a rare variegated African violet grown as much for its pink-marked foliage as for its flowers. The rosette stays compact, with fuzzy deep green leaves carrying irregular light pink variegation that keeps the plant decorative even between bloom cycles. Soft clustered flowers add another layer of charm without overwhelming the foliage.
Bright, indirect light, a small pot, and evenly moist but airy violet mix keep it at its best, especially if watered from below to protect the leaves.
For collectors of compact plants, 'Hovariagata' offers something genuinely different in the African violet group.
