Many stems build Philodendron ‘Burle Marx’ variegata into a broad, layered plant. They can spread over the pot, trail beyond its edge or be trained upward, carrying glossy leaves that are oblong to lance-shaped with a notch at the base.
Across these leaves, green, lime, yellow and cream appear as streaks, mottling, marbling and larger sectors. Different branches can carry their own amounts and arrangements of these colours, so a densely mottled shoot may grow beside one marked by larger cream sectors.
