Peperomia 'Mendoza' is a compact hybrid with heart-shaped, deeply ridged leaves that show soft silver-grey tones above and strong red beneath, creating a more refined two-tone effect than many darker caperata forms. It usually stays around 12–15 cm tall and forms a dense, tidy mound, so it works especially well in small decorative pots or on shelves where the colour contrast can be seen up close.
Bright, indirect light helps preserve the silvery top surface, while warm temperatures and an airy substrate keep growth even and reduce the risk of soft stems. Let the top layer dry before watering again and avoid heavy, constantly wet mixes, as overwatering is the most common problem. The appeal lies mainly in the compact habit, greyed foliage, and vivid red undersides.
