Monstera deliciosa 'Golden' ('Lemon Lime') is a warm-toned variegated Monstera with green leaves marked by yellow, lime or golden sections. The colour can appear brighter on fresh growth and soften as the leaf hardens.
The plant grows from a climbing Monstera deliciosa stem with nodes, petioles and aerial roots. With a stable root zone and vertical support, mature growth can produce broader leaves with the split and fenestrated shape associated with the species.
The leaves can sit within a warm yellow-green range, from lime-toned patches to deeper golden sections. Pattern and tone can vary between leaves, especially as new growth expands, hardens and settles into its mature colour.
The warm yellow-green colour is clearest on healthy new growth that expands cleanly. In warm filtered light, an aerated root zone and an upright stem give new leaves space to harden without crowding.
Monstera deliciosa 'Golden' ('Lemon Lime') contains calcium oxalate crystals and should not be chewed by pets or children. Sap from cut stems or leaves can irritate skin.
Monstera deliciosa is an Araceae species native to wet tropical forest from parts of southern Mexico to Guatemala. Monstera refers to the unusual mature leaf form, while deliciosa points to the ripe fruit produced by mature plants in suitable tropical climates.
The yellow-green tones of Monstera deliciosa 'Golden' ('Lemon Lime') sit on the classic Monstera deliciosa frame, with mature leaves forming as the plant climbs.
