Licuala grandis brings a bold fan-palm shape through glossy, pleated leaves that open into rounded, ruffled circles. The leaf blades have a softly notched edge, clear ribbing and a polished surface, so the species’ tropical palm character is visible even before the plant becomes tall. As it matures in a container, upright stalks hold the fans above a slim palm base and give the plant a clean, structured outline. A younger plant still reads leaf-led and substantial because each fan has strong width. Warmth, bright filtered light and evenly moist but well-drained soil suit steady indoor growth, especially where humidity stays moderate to high.
