Lava Rock Granules
Lava Rock Granules add mineral weight and durable pore structure to potting mixes. Their gritty texture can help a blend resist settling, especially when it contains softer organic ingredients.
Where it works
Mix the granules through suitable succulent, bonsai or tropical substrates. Distributing the mineral fraction through the root zone matters more than placing a decorative layer at the bottom.
Choose the right proportion
Coarse mineral particles can leave gaps around tiny roots. Combine them with finer materials for seedlings or small plants; use a larger share where roots and pot size suit an open mix.
Before potting
Rinse fine dust as needed. Lava rock supplies structure and weight, while moisture and nutrition still depend on the complete mix and watering routine.
