This selection carries short, broad foliage with the strong venation typical of Hoya finlaysonii. ‘Round Leaf’ is a cultivated form of Hoya finlaysonii, a species native from southern Thailand through western Malesia and found as a large-leaved epiphyte in wet tropical forest.

Care for Hoya finlaysonii ‘Round Leaf’

• Support and leaf space: Use a broad rigid frame that can carry the mature foliage without turning. Attach only the stem, leaving petioles and soft leaves free of the frame.
• Light around the foliage: Keep the climbing tip and broad leaves in bright diffuse light, clear of sun-heated glass. Turn the support only after an expanding leaf has hardened.
