Hoya deykeae is a fine-textured species with softly cupped heart-shaped leaves, dark green veins, and a more delicate trailing habit than thicker-leaved heart-shaped hoyas. Its creamy yellow flowers with peach-toned centres add another level of charm, especially on mature plants that have settled into a stable bright, humid position.
The foliage feels lighter and less rigid than Hoya kerrii, which gives the plant a more elegant cascading look in hanging pots or on hoops and small trellises.
