Hoya archboldiana is a vigorous New Guinea species with broad glossy leaves and large bell-shaped flowers in shades of red, pink, or cream that hang in dramatic umbels once the plant matures. Even before blooming, the long vines and firm green foliage give it a strong presence on a trellis or in a hanging setup, especially in bright rooms.
It needs bright indirect light with some gentle sun, an airy epiphytic substrate, and watering after the upper layer dries so the roots get moisture without staying constantly saturated. Keep temperatures around 18 – 24 °C, provide moderate humidity, avoid cutting old peduncles, and handle the white latex sap carefully because it may irritate skin and is mildly toxic if ingested.
