Green, cream and pink-red sectors spread irregularly across broad leathery leaves, giving every blade a different balance of colour. Red-purple tones are strongest along the midrib, leaf stalk and newly opened growth. One rolled leaf emerges at a time from a coloured sheath at the top of each upright shoot, gradually extending the patterned column of foliage.
