Long glossy leaves line slender woody branches, their pronounced side veins giving the surface a lightly ridged texture. Fresh foliage gathers near the extending shoot tips, leaving more open space along older sections of branch. As the shoots lengthen and divide, they build an airy canopy whose fine framework remains visible between the leaves.
