Begonia masoniana 'Tricolor' layers a dark iron cross over green centres and creamy outer zones, all on heavily puckered leaves that look almost painted rather than merely variegated. Because the colour fields are so clearly separated, it has a stronger graphic effect than plain green forms, yet it still grows as a compact rhizomatous clump rather than a tall or difficult plant.
Bright indirect light helps keep the cream margins clear, while steady moisture in an airy, organic substrate supports regular leaf production without softening the rhizome. Humidity above 60% reduces the risk of crisped pale edges, and direct sun is best avoided because it can damage the lighter tissue first. It is a collector begonia with immediate visual impact, but its care remains close to other masoniana types: warmth, humidity, and patience matter more than feeding heavily.
