Long green angel-wing leaves with bright pale dots make Begonia maculata 'Polka Dot' a recognisable spotted cane Begonia. Red-toned undersides and upright jointed stems add depth as the plant gains height. The cane habit creates visible spacing between leaf pairs, while established plants may carry hanging flower clusters above the patterned foliage.
Use bright filtered light and a loose, moisture-retentive substrate, then water thoroughly once the upper layer has begun to dry. Prune tall canes above nodes to shape the plant, and leave space around the stems so the spotted leaves dry quickly after watering.
