Enermix – Gradual Whitefly Management with Parasitoid Wasp Cards
This product is designed for early use, not for dramatic overnight cleanup. The cards release parasitoids gradually, which helps support whitefly management over time and makes the method especially useful when introduced at first signs.
Key details
- Encarsia formosa: used against greenhouse whitefly.
- Eretmocerus eremicus: broadens coverage to tobacco whitefly as well.
- Combined approach: better coverage across different whitefly situations than relying on just one species.
Use and timing
- Open the strip carefully and tear off the cards at the perforation opposite the hanging hole.
- Hang the cards close to affected foliage without touching the pupae.
- Keep them out of direct sun, strong heat, and strong airflow.
- Repeat releases if whitefly pressure remains high.
Pack size & coverage
- Format: 1 strip with 5 cards
- Total content: about 300 parasitoids in total
- Coverage guide: roughly 15 plants or about 15 m², depending on crop density and pressure
Where it fits best
Use it early, while pest pressure is still manageable. Consistent placement and timing matters more than changing products frequently.
Combine with basic hygiene: remove heavily damaged leaves, isolate affected plants, and check neighbouring pots so you treat the full area.
Compatibility notes
- Follow the product instructions for placement and temperature range.
- Avoid spraying oils or soaps on release days unless the supplier confirms compatibility.
- Repeat checks weekly until new damage stops.
