Aglaonema 'Pink Aurora' lights up any plant shelf with a warm blend of pink veins, blush-toned centers, and green borders. Each leaf forms a broad, slightly oval shape with a waxy sheen and smooth edges, growing upward in a compact, symmetrical clump. The pink tones arenât patchy â theyâre evenly spread, giving the plant a balanced, rosy glow that stays strong in indoor light.
This cultivar is one of the most stable and vibrant pink Aglaonema varieties. Its tidy shape and reliable colour make it an eye-catching choice without taking up too much space. Itâs also very forgiving, adapting easily to different light conditions and needing only minimal care to thrive.
Aglaonema species come from the humid, shaded rainforests of Southeast Asia â including Thailand, Indonesia, and southern China â where they grow in consistent warmth under filtered light. Temperatures range between 20 â 30°C with high humidity and rich, moist soil.
'Pink Aurora' is a cultivated variety bred for its coloration and compact size. It maintains a bushy growth habit, does not climb or trail, and stays low-maintenance year-round. Like all Aglaonema plants, it is toxic to pets and humans if ingested due to calcium oxalates.
âPink Auroraâ prefers to be left alone â no frequent moving or fussing. Steady light, evenly moist soil, and a warm spot will keep it happy. Like its tropical ancestors, it thrives in indirect light and slightly humid conditions. Giving it a breathable pot and letting it dry slightly between waterings helps prevent root problems and keeps foliage strong and colorful.
Aglaonema is from the Greek âaglaosâ (bright) and ânemaâ (thread), referring to its patterned leaves and floral structures. 'Pink Aurora' is a cultivated variety bred for indoor use, known for its stable pink coloration and compact growth. Itâs not found in the wild but descends from species like Aglaonema commutatum.
