Caladium 'Fiesta' is a bold ornamental cultivar prized for its richly colored, heart-shaped leaves in shades of deep green, vibrant pink, and red. Each leaf displays dramatic veining that creates a stained-glass effect when backlit. This tuberous aroid is ideal for bright indoor spaces or shaded patios during warm months, offering a vivid seasonal accent from spring through early autumn.
Caladiums originate from tropical South America, especially Brazil and surrounding regions, where they grow in humid, shaded rainforest understories. 'Fiesta' is a horticultural cultivar bred from several species including Caladium bicolor. It does not occur in the wild. All Caladiums are toxic due to calcium oxalate crystals and should be kept away from pets and children.
The genus name Caladium comes from the Malay word kaladi, referring to edible aroids with large, tuberous roots. The term bicolor was originally used for wild species with two-tone foliage but does not reflect the complex multicolor patterns seen in cultivars like 'Fiesta'.
Ready for something vivid? Caladium 'Fiesta' offers unforgettable color for plant lovers who crave bold seasonal foliage. Add it to your collection now!
