Pursegloveia minima (H.Okada) S.Y.Wong and P.C.Boyce, published in Webbia 73: 69 (2018). Basionym: Aridarum minimum H.Okada.
Pursegloveia minima is a tiny, creeping aroid from Borneo. A shallow, rooting rhizome sends out short petioles bearing narrow, linear-lanceolate blades. Marginal veins are prominently raised, giving each leaf a fine, architectural look. Compact growth and humidity love make it a strong candidate for terrariums and close-up displays.
Native to humid lowland rainforest in Borneo, often near wet, shaded microhabitats. Conditions are warm, consistently moist, and low-light–match these indoors for best results.
Pursegloveia honours botanist John Purseglove. The epithet minima highlights the species’ very small stature.
Looking for a small, precise aroid with real detail? Pursegloveia minima delivers–clean lines, raised veins, and a tidy creeping habit.
