Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen)

Aglaonema is a broad indoor genus that covers dependable green and silver foliage plants as well as brighter, rarer and very colourful cultivars. Most grow as neat clumps or short canes, so they give pattern and structure without climbing or taking over a room.

Aglaonema earns its place where foliage colour matters but space is limited. It gives pattern, warmth and a compact habit in one plant, especially once the light level is matched to how green or how heavily marked the leaves are. Greener forms usually stay calmer in medium light, while stronger colour and denser patterning hold better in brighter indirect conditions with warm roots and an airy humus-rich mix.
