Monstera adansonii variegata 'Japanese tricolour'

Monstera adansonii variegata 'Japanese tricolour' is a variegated variety of  Monstera adansonii Schott. It is a scandent epiphyte.  This cultivar is said to show two variegation colours: white and off-white/ cream, sometimes on the same leaves. The differences between this and the 'regular' cultivar are very subtle and the 'tricolour' variegation is not present on every leaf. Some leaves show only white, and some only cream variegation.

The genus name Monstera ( modern Latin), comes perhaps form Latin monstrum ‘monster’ (because of the unusual appearance of the leaves in some species). (uncertain)
