Hoya sp. Aceh is most likely a form of Hoya finlaysonii (not confirmed). It is a very variable species, with stunning, protruding venation pattern and occasional splashes on its oval, pointy foliage. It hails from the area of Aceh in Sumatra.
The genus was named in Modern Latin in honor of English gardener and botanist Thomas Hoy (c. 1750-1822).
