Your new plant has already been through packing, transport, and changing temperatures, so give it a sheltered start.
Nepeta nervosa 'Blue Moon' is a compact, upright catmint that stays neat while still giving you weeks of blue-violet flower spikes. Its mound-forming habit is tidy and predictable, which makes it easy to repeat along the front of borders or work into gravel planting.
Shape and mature size
Most plants settle at around 30 to 40 cm tall and wide, with short flower spikes held above fragrant foliage. It is a good option when you want catmint colour without a broad, sprawling habit.

Spacing and placement
For a fuller line, space plants about 30 to 40 cm apart. For more distinct mounds, leave a little more room between them. It works especially well at the front of borders, along gravel edges, or in sunny troughs where the compact habit stays tidy.
Cut-back
After the first flush, a light trim refreshes the foliage and often encourages a second round of flowers. In late winter or early spring, remove old stems so new shoots can come through cleanly.
In containers, use a free-draining mix and avoid heavy feeding. Steady sun and an open root zone help keep stems upright and growth compact. Order the set of three plants to create a repeated line, form a small drift, or split them between border and pot for the same colour in several spots.
