The most quilted of them all, Anthurium reflexinervium Croat is an epilithic plant. Stems are usually less than 15 cm long,; petioles are broadly and sharply triangular, sometimes sharply D-shaped, flattened, sometimes with a medial rib adaxially. Leaf blades are coriaceous to sub coriaceous, broadly oblanceolate-elliptic, acute at apex, obtuse to shallowly cordate at base, moderately to strongly undulate; upper surface matte to semi glossy, dark green, lower surface semi glossy, paler; both surfaces strongly bullate and quilted.
;
The genus name Anthurium is derived form Greek ánthos "flower" + ourá "tail" + New Latin -ium -ium . A very; literal translation of this would be 'flowering tail'.
