Anthurium pulcachense Croat is a stunning, terrestrial Anthurium endemic to Peru, known only from the Department of San Martin, Province of Mariscal Caiceres, near Pulcache (hence the name "pulcachense"). It is a relatively small growing Anthurium with beautiful foliage, adaxially dark green and subvelvety,; abaxially much paler and matte.
The genus name Anthurium is derived form Greek ánthos "flower" + ourá "tail" + New Latin -ium -ium . A very; literal translation of this would be 'flowering tail'.
