Anthurium Mix - The Ideal Soil for Healthy, Thriving Anthuriums

The SYBASoil Anthurium Mix, developed by Sybotanica, is a well-draining, airy, and moisture-balanced substrate designed specifically for epiphytic Anthuriums. These plants require a chunky, nutrient-rich mix that mimics their natural rainforest environment while preventing root rot and water retention issues.

Why Choose SYBASoil Anthurium Mix?

  • ✔ Loose, airy structure - Ideal for thick Anthurium roots.
  • ✔ Prevents root rot - High aeration and moisture control.
  • ✔ Rich in organic nutrients - Promotes steady growth.
  • ✔ Long-lasting stability - Maintains structure for up to 4 years.

💡 Tip:More bark = better drainage.More coco coir = more moisture retention. Adjust the mix based on your watering habits and climate.

Optimized for Epiphytic Anthuriums

  • Prevents waterlogging while maintaining necessary hydration.

Balanced Moisture Retention and Drainage

  • Perlite and lava gravel improve aeration and prevent compaction.
  • Activated carbon purifies the soil, reducing microbial imbalances.

Mimics Anthurium's Natural Habitat

  • Most Anthuriums grow attached to trees in tropical forests.
  • This mix ensures a coarse, well-structured substrate to support their climbing roots.

🐾 Not Pet-Safe

  • Contains fertilizer, perlite and activated carbon, which may be harmful if ingested.

  • How to Repot Your Anthurium Using the Anthurium Soil Mix:

Repotting your Anthurium plant is simple when using the specialized Anthurium Soil Mix. Follow this step-by-step guide to give your plant the perfect environment for growth and health.

    Step 1: Remove Old Soil
Begin by removing as much of the old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the sides of the pot while holding it sideways to loosen the plant. If the plant doesn’t come out easily, don’t force it. Rinse the roots under lukewarm water to clear away any remaining bits of soil, ensuring the roots are clean.

    Step 2: Trim Dead Foliage
Use sterilized scissors to snip away any dead or dying leaves from the plant. This promotes healthy growth and prepares your Anthurium for its fresh soil.

Step 3: Add a Base Layer of Soil
Pour a small layer of Anthurium Soil Mix into the bottom of the pot. This provides a solid foundation for the plant and promotes proper drainage, which is essential for Anthuriums.

    Step 4: Position the Plant
Place the Anthurium gently into the pot, ensuring that the root crown (where the roots meet the stem) is just below the soil line. Gradually fill in the sides with more Anthurium Soil Mix until the pot is full. Lightly press the soil around the plant to provide stability, but avoid compacting it too tightly.

    Step 5: Water Thoroughly
After repotting, water the Anthurium Soil Mix thoroughly. This helps settle the soil and the roots into their new environment, ensuring your plant has the best conditions to thrive.

Your Anthurium is now repotted and ready to flourish. Monitor the moisture levels of the soil regularly, as Anthuriums prefer evenly moist but not waterlogged conditions.
